Scope of Position

· Provide functional leadership to team members by directing their daily work

· Ensure and monitor team’s compliance with program-specific regulations and requirements

· Provide ongoing coaching to improve the team’s individual and collective performance

· Provide a strategic vision that will ensure the team will achieve all success indicators

· Provide leadership, training and access to resources in the areas of curriculum, assessment and instruction, data collection and classroom management for the instructional team

· Support the successful connection of agencies and referrals with Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist

· Maintain and continuously improve program design to meet the needs of the clients


Essential Functions

· Collaboratively develop and support the implementation of quality curriculum, ensuring modifications for the various performance goals

· Facilitate instructor knowledge of “best practice” learning activities, effective resources, and assessment alternatives appropriate for customers

· Provide timely and effective training for facilitators and general program staff for skills required for excellence in program responsibilities

· Ensure access to professional development opportunities for instructional staff, including attendance at external trainings, collaborative planning meetings and individual training sessions

· Participate in interviews, performance reviews and feedback sessions with facilitators

· Develop and maintain documents and data collection approaches designed to demonstrate continuing awareness of needs and successes regarding instructional programs

· Other duties as assigned, including covering for team staff (paid time off, vacancies, flex tour, etc.)


Education and Experience Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in education, training, human services or related area is required

· Must have 3-5 years of program management, leadership and facilitation experience

· Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive, professional attitude

· Experience in a team-oriented environment

· Knowledge of multi-modality, two generation-centered, and strength-based educational approaches, group and individual instructional strategies, and training design

· Experience working with both adults and children

· Knowledge of Microsoft products
