The the Workforce Development Specialist Position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented workforce development professional to join our spirited team.

Scope of Position: The Workforce Development Specialist plays an active role in workforce development activities of program participants, as well as maintains a central role in planning and organizing activities and community events for the program. The Workforce Development Specialist provides support and assistance to Employment Counselors and Business Service Representatives and program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement.

Responsibilities

· Implement case management activities for program participants

· Create solutions to participant barriers and need

· Support in providing comprehensive case management and follow-up

· Refer clients to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed

· Coordinate participant retention services, including collecting paystubs and managing requests for transportation and incentives

· Assist with data entry into myOneFlow and CWDS, including but not limited to, case notes, time & attendance, enrollments & terminations, outcomes

· Assist case management staff in maintaining participant files as specified by contractor

· Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment.

· Ensure outcomes and goals are met as required by contract in partnership with the direct service team

· Work with leadership team to plan activities and events to support the career goals of program participants

· Manage and complete data entry associated with program participation and next steps

· All other duties as assigned

· Support Intake & Orientation process and coordinate referrals from CAO

Qualifications

· Highly organized and detail-oriented, follow deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, take initiative and manage personal workload

· Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others

· Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts

· Demonstrated telephone, computer and written communication skills

· Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require

· Marketing/ event planning experience preferred

· Able to work fully onsite, fully remote, or in a hybrid environment

 

Required Education

· Bachelor’s Degree- Social Work, Psychology, or other Human Service-related field
