As Account Manager, you will manage the overall function of the recruitment and fulfillment process. This includes working with the sales and recruitment teams to determine places to recruit, working with the hiring client to understand needs, and screening potential candidates to effectively identity qualified candidates for referral to employers, resulting in their hire.

Workforce1 is a service provided by the NYC Department of Small Business Services that prepares and connects qualified candidates to job opportunities in New York City. We make strong matches for both candidates and employers by using a unique combination of recruitment expertise, industry knowledge, and skill-building workshops to strengthen candidates’ employment prospects. Services are provided to individuals aged 18 and over in all five boroughs of New York City.

Responsibilities

Successful Elements:

  • Implement recruiting processes and initiatives
  • Receive and review resumes of job applicants
  • Screen applicants for job openings
  • Attend job fairs, networking events and information sessions for hiring
  • Develop contacts at colleges and universities
  • Communicate with team regarding position openings
  • Make suggestions of improvement to Recruitment and Sales teams
  • Communicate with leadership regarding all postings and openings
  • Obtain all resumes and customer information forms for customers
  • Build and coordinate a pipeline of qualified jobseekers through recruitment events, reengagement of Individual Training Grant customers, Community Based Organization referrals, walk-in traffic and direct advertising
  • Work with the leadership team to plan, implement and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of each business client
  • Maintain a pipeline of candidates per industry
  • Initiate a high level of engagement and reengagement of clients via phone and email
  • Manage onsite and offsite recruitment events on behalf of employers
  • Understand, in detail, the needs of business clients regarding their open job

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft computer systems
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in recruiting, account management or a related business relationship management capacity
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
