Overview

Salary: $47,000-49,000/year

Scope of Position

  • Build relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders to develop appropriate strategies to connect jobseekers to available opportunities and to further develop partnerships with these organizations in order to collaborate on additional workforce development initiatives
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all programmatic processes, staff roles and funding sources in order to best guide customers

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Conduct face to face, or virtual, meetings with organizations’ representatives to discuss collaboration between their entity and the one-stop.
  • Attend functions such as Job/Resource Fairs and Chamber Events to distribute/discuss information pertaining to one-stop services.
  • Inform PA CareerLink® staff of supportive services available through community organizations in order to assist customers needing to overcome barriers to reach their educational and employment goals
  • Schedule and conduct onsite/offsite presentations with organizations to promote CareerLink® services
  • Connect with departments to promote Rapid Response services, Business Services and Training Services
  • Outreach to all dislocated workers as contact information becomes available to promote services and next steps
  • Conduct community-based or in-house workshops for customers related to training and/or re-employment
  • Connect community-based organizations with the PA CareerLink® website and furthering efforts to streamline the online referral process
  • Develop a database of organizations’ representatives and their contact information
  • Ensure that materials regarding services of organizations are available to PA CareerLink® customers
  • Identify opportunities for additional partnership between the one-stop and community-based organizations
  • Provide insight into partnerships / collaborations with community organizations in the Market Intelligence Report
  • Serve as liaison between PA CareerLink® and stakeholders
  • Track outreach progress and outcomes through reports to Program Manager
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have 1-3 years of business, training, teaching, outreach, or sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human services or related area is preferred
  • Should be able to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
  • Must be comfortable with presenting information to large audiences in professional/clear manner
  • Must be available to travel to community-based events and provide outreach to job seekers
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English preferred
