Job Title: WIOA Career Coach - Bilingual Spanish

Scope of Position
• To provide career support and assistance to program customers (job seekers) in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment, training, and career advancement under the Integrated Services Customer Flow Design
Essential Functions
• Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with customers to aid in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment
• Coach, motivate, and encourage all job seekers in advancing employment, training, and retention goals while providing support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement and retention
• Review and discuss assessment results with customers in order to support career and training exploration
• Provide assistance to customers for selecting appropriate training programs
• Provide WIOA registration services, including accurately reviewing and evaluating required eligibility documentation and maintain all documents securely
• Design a customer-driven Individual Employment Plan (IEP) and update participant’s IEP as required to reflect customer progress on achieving goals
• Ensure job seekers are job ready by reviewing their resumes and skill set to meet the hiring standards and needs of employers with available positions
• Work closely with the Business Services Team (BST) to pre-screen customers for employment opportunities once a customer is job ready; solicit BSR job orders to WIOA participants who have completed training
• Obtain placement information via phone calls, email, or face-to-face interaction to close out WIOA cases
• Conduct post-placement outreach support with WIOA customers that have been closed due to employment
• Assist job seekers in registration, job search preparation, workshop registration, and resumes using PA CareerLink® online website
• Maintain contact with community partners in order to be knowledgeable about resources that are available to PA CareerLink® customers to assist with addressing barriers to employment
• Share information with PA CareerLink® and EARN staff and interface with MontcoWorks, and community partners
• Maintain customer files as specified by contractor and in accordance with State Guidelines
• Assist in the preparation of project reports as required
• Provide support by ensuring positive outcomes and goals are met as required by WIOA
• Refer WIOA customers to hiring events by outreach methods including phone calls and email blasting flyers and event information
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent experience required – (1-3years)
• Bilingual Spanish speaking required
• Prior case management and customer service experience strongly preferred
• Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks, and efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously for all services provided
• Demonstrate communication, problem solving analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
