Scope of Position:

Workforce1 helps New Yorkers prepare for, and connect to, jobs across New York City's five boroughs and in every sector of the economy. As the Recruitment Services Manager for the Healthcare Workforce1 Career Center, you will manage a team of Account Managers/Recruiters to source, screen and refer qualified candidates who access the Workforce1 Career Center system.  A successful Recruitment Services Manager will lead and support the Account Managers/Recruiters to meet employer hiring needs by referring qualified candidates, resulting in their hire, and meeting target hiring goals every quarter. 

 

The Recruitment Services Manager will help oversee the Account Management Team along with all processes and events, requiring elements of both strategy and planning. This includes working with the Account Management team to determine places to recruit, working with hiring clients to understand needs, screening potential candidates, and managing the client’s transition from the Sales Team to the Recruitment Team.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise Account Management/Recruitment Team as they review and understand position-specific job descriptions, number of openings, timeframe to fill, and any other detail that will lead to successful job placement including maintaining subject matter expertise in assigned sectors and subsectors
  • Work collaboratively with center leadership, operations, and marketing teams to build awareness and interest in Workforce1 recruitment services
  • Develop comprehensive recruitment plans to address current and future staffing needs in various healthcare disciplines.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing requirements and create tailored recruitment strategies
  • Lead job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection processes for healthcare professionals.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions, to attract talent
  • Set performance metrics, monitor progress, and provide feedback to the recruitment team.
  • Maintain accurate records of the recruitment process, including candidate evaluations, interviews, and placements.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and generate reports to inform leadership about healthcare recruitment trends and areas for improvement including developing Quarterly recruitment and sourcing plan to fill on Centers open job orders
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations, such as staffing agencies and educational institutions, to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Implement sourcing and recruitment strategies to successfully refer candidates to fill employer vacancies in the healthcare sector using the Workforce1 Career Center System
  • Oversee and implement recruiting processes and initiatives
  • Ensure hiring clients are receiving appropriate candidates for open positions and quality service
  • Screen applicants for healthcare job openings
  • Ensure jobseeker services and information is entered into appropriate databases in a timely manner and monitor for compliance with funder (NYC Department of Small Business Services) guidelines
  • Provide, as required, target estimates/goals and weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports
  • Attend job fairs, networking events and information sessions for hiring
  • Develop contacts at colleges and universities
  • Work with Community Partner Team to expand recruitment efforts
  • Communicate with center staff regarding position openings
  • Make improvement suggestions for Fulfillment and Sales Team
  • Report to Business Services Manager regarding all postings, openings, and efforts
  • Build and coordinate a pipeline of qualified jobseekers through recruitment events, reengagement of Individual Training Grant customers, Community Based Organization referrals, walk-in traffic, and direct advertising
  • Work with Director and Business Services Manager to plan, implement, and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of each healthcare employer
  • Assess jobseeker skills and job readiness
  • Ensure team reaches weekly and quarterly goals
  • Track progress for weekly reports with Business Services Manager
  • Lead and motivate team of Fulfillment Account Managers
  • Work with center leadership on strategy to reach goals and improve services
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in assigned sectors and subsectors
  • Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies
  • Define the teams’ Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis and ensure they are met
  • Review and monitor employer trackers for referrals and communicate with team high priority accounts
  • Develop weekly onsite and offsite event calendar and share with the teams
  • Facilitate effective collaboration with all vendors to ensure that a wide range of opportunities are available

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer systems and related Microsoft Office programs
  • At least five years of professional experience in management, recruiting, account management or a related business relationship management capacity
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to thrive in environments with multiple stakeholders, frequent change, and diverse objectives
