Position Summary: We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join
our team. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing social media
strategies to increase our online presence and improve our marketing efforts. In addition,
you will assist in the management of our on-site television for New Employee Spotlight,
upcoming events and program highlights. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on
experience in social media management and digital marketing in a collaborative and
dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for various
social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Community Engagement: Monitor social media accounts, engage with followers,
respond to comments and messages, and foster online community growth.
• Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on social media performance metrics,
providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Campaign Support: Collaborate on social media campaigns, promotions, and
initiatives to support brand awareness and marketing objectives.
• Research and Trends: Stay updated on social media trends, emerging platforms,
and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Graphic Design and Multimedia: Assist with creating visuals, videos, and other
multimedia content using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
software.
• Administrative Support: Help with organizing digital assets, maintaining content
calendars, and other marketing-related tasks as needed. Assist Computer
Resource Center with customer service (i.e., answering phone calls, assisting walkin customers).

Qualifications

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital
Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Skills:
o Familiarity with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Instagram, Facebook,
Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
o Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Creativity and attention to detail.
o Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Skills:
o Experience with graphic design or video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe
Premiere, Photoshop).
o Knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social).
o Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
