Overview

Salary $65,000 year

As Bilingual Account Manager, you will manage the overall function of the recruitment and fulfillment process. This includes working with the Director to implement recruitment strategy, working with employers to understand needs and screening potential job candidates. This position works alongside The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS). SBS helps unlock economic potential and create economic security for all New Yorkers by connecting New Yorkers to good jobs, creating stronger businesses, and building thriving neighborhoods across the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Screen, obtain and review all resumes and customer information forms from participants to maintain a pipeline of candidates per job title, with a focus on foreign-born New Yorkers
  • Build and coordinate a pipeline of qualified jobseekers through recruitment events, networking events, information sessions, Community Based Organization referrals, walk-in traffic, and direct advertising
  • Research prospective, new, and existing accounts to identify opportunities for expansion of services, employer relationships and partners for different point of contacts to identify their staffing and hiring needs while following company and funder policies
  • Develop relationships with local businesses in Upper Manhattan, focusing on Washington Heights, Inwood and parts of the South Bronx for job placement opportunities for foreign-born New Yorkers
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to keep employers engaged during the hiring process
  • Manage onsite and offsite recruitment events on behalf of employers
  • Assist employers with targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified talent
  • Determine WIOA eligibility and accurately complete required documentation for enrollment into the Worksource1 data management system
  • Enter engagements with candidates and employers into all appropriate databases in real time including creating, generating, and submitting job orders
  • Work with Director to plan, implement, and track customized recruitment projects to meet the specific needs of foreign-born New Yorkers
  • Meet and exceed the goals of the program and employ effective goal management in alignment with the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4Dx)
  • Work with team in alignment with the principles of Servant Leadership to ensure team and program resources are being utilized appropriately

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish, English/French or English/Haitian Creole required
  • Familiarity with data tracking platforms such as Salesforce, Worksource1, Dynamics and Oracle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft BI and Excel
  • Workforce development experience working with WIOA and TANF participants
  • At least three-five years of professional experience in recruiting, account management or a related business relationship management capacity
  • Experience working with underserved and diverse communities
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree
