Are you goal driven? Then the Account Manager (Recruiter) position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

 

As an Account Manager (Recruiter), you will play a key role in connecting jobseekers with employment opportunities by understanding their skills and career goals and matching them with employer hiring needs. You will collaborate with the sales team, which connects with businesses to identify job openings, while you focus on sourcing, screening, and referring qualified candidates to ensure a seamless hiring process.

 

Workforce1 is a service provided by the NYC Department of Small Business Services that prepares and connects qualified candidates to job opportunities in New York City. We make strong matches for both candidates and employers by using a unique combination of recruitment expertise, industry knowledge, and skill-building workshops to strengthen candidates’ employment prospects. Services are provided to individuals aged 18 and over in all five boroughs of New York City.

Responsibilities

Successful Elements:

  • Source, screen, and match jobseekers to appropriate employment opportunities based on their skills and career goals.
  • Build and coordinate a pipeline of qualified jobseekers through recruitment events, reengagement of training grant customers, community-based organization referrals, walk-in traffic and direct advertising.
  • Conduct regular follow up with candidates through various channels such as phone, email, and text.
  • Connect with the career development team to provide career coaching and guidance to jobseekers to enhance job readiness and employability.
  • Manage recruitment events (onsite, offsite, virtual) and hiring initiatives to connect jobseekers with employers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of candidate progress and job placements.
  • Utilize labor market data and hiring trends to inform recruitment strategies and improve jobseeker matching.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a streamlined and effective referral process.
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines and maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Meet and exceed activity and placement goals, communicating progress with leadership and adjusting recruitment strategies as needed to achieve targets.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in recruiting, account management, retail or food service management, or a related business relationship management role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with diverse populations is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
