Title: Training and Placement Coordinator

Scope of Position

This position will be responsible for serving the customer in new and innovative ways, while working closely with the business services team to ensure sustainable career opportunities for all jobseekers.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Primary Functions
    • Assist the jobseeker with work readiness and job search activities
    • Conduct assessment and skills analysis determination
    • Provide career counseling and supportive services assistance
    • Work with jobseeker to develop Career Pathways/Individual Employment Plans
    • Provide occupational skills training options
    • Conduct eligibility intakes in an accurate and timely manner
    • Maintain thorough and accurate case notes
    • Attend and participate in biweekly direct service team meetings
    • Answer questions about program requirements
    • Manage process flows for training programs
  • Performance Functions
    • Meet weekly performance measurements
    • Review weekly performance reports; report on cohort status weekly
    • Retain compliant electronic case files within NCWorks per local area policy
  • Collaborative Functions
    • Provide weekly recommendations of job-ready candidates
    • Provide weekly job referrals to candidates via NCWorks
    • Follow up on the internal referral process within 48 hours
    • Attend and participate in weekly business services meetings
    • Communicate all pending offers to the business services team
    • Communicate effectively the status of all referrals
    • Provide verified invite list to business services team for each onsite event
    • Conduct required assessments in conjunction with business services to determine employment readiness, employment interests, and current and ongoing skill proficiency
    • Manage relationships with the local training providers
    • Additional collaborative functions as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1-3 years of business, training, teaching or sales experience
  • Professional level of experience with MS Office and Cloud-based software
  • Intermediate skill level or higher with Excel and reporting functions
  • Skills and experience in providing career development assistance
  • Ability to adapt to a team-oriented environment
  • Degree in business, education, human services or related area is preferred
  • Ability to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to travel via personal vehicle, will require a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
  • Ability to deliver presentations
