We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.

 

Our Youth Advocates provide ongoing guidance and counseling to local youth to empower them to reach their goals. This process includes providing individualized and holistic support to each participant through proven case management strategies.

Responsibilities

Successful Elements:

  • Manage a caseload and provide exceptional customer service
  • Collaboratively work with Business Services Team and Program Manager to build relationships with potential employers who will provide job shadowing, OJT or internship opportunities
  • Identify potential mentors for the youth population to aid in their success
  • Actively recruit and select individuals for the program
  • Partner with local area training providers and make appropriate referrals
  • Provide remediation to increase skill attainment
  • Provide referrals to community partners
  • Build relationships with employers/post-secondary education entities
  • Explore career awareness opportunities to identify long term goals through career pathways

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Human Services background preferred
  • Must have previous counseling background
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Must have experience working with at risk youth population
  • Acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, able to drive 15 passenger van
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle required
