Career Advisor

Salary $45,000 year

Do you have a passion for making a difference in someone’s life? Are you goal driven? Then the Career Advisor position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

As the Career Advisor, you will assist in career planning and employment referrals. You will provide excellent customer-centered services designed to enhance and re-engage job seekers into the workforce, while working closely with the Business Services Team to ensure that sustainable career opportunities are available for all job seekers.

· Provide information about CareerLink services and the services of partner agencies and organizations to jobseekers

· Maintain a caseload of 50-75 WIOA program participants

· Administer suitability assessments for individuals pursuing training opportunities

· Represent EDSI on various committees and workgroups as assigned

· Additional tasks may be required to ensure excellent service delivery

· Experience providing excellent service to jobseekers and employers

· Experience working with economically-disadvantaged populations

· Ability to prioritize tasks and document all aspects of services provided

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

· Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

· A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
