Title: Business Services Lead

To supervise the strategic planning and oversight of Business Services at the PA Careerlink Delaware County (Chester and Media locations)

Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with the DCWDB to create a strategic business plan that will focus on high-priority occupations, increasing employer engagement, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Create a detailed outreach plan that will include targeting high-priority occupations and ensuring a diverse employer pool to meet the needs of the various job seekers. The outreach plan will be developed in collaboration with the DCWDB and the OSO.
  • Produce a comprehensive marketing plan and materials will be developed to promote all PA CareerLink® social media accounts.
  • Attend all key events, join relevant associations, and host networking events at local employers, union facilities, and at the PA CareerLink®.
  • Offer monthly educational webinars for employers on a variety of topics
  • Hold weekly performance strategy sessions between leadership and the Director of Operations to discuss program goals, contractual requirements, and customer concerns
  • Collect labor market information, HPO data, determine upward trends, and track placements and sustainability in high-growth industries
  • Gather census data, unemployment numbers, periodicals, and LEAD (Labor & Economic Analysis Division) to gain insight into the overall marketplace.
  • Analyze data to develop a comprehensive recruitment strategy for employers and job seekers and offer workshops on these topics.
  • Supply monthly employer success stories for the local newsletter
  • Provide quarterly progress reports to the DCWDB, as well as an annual completion report.
  • Support Rapid Response outreach and special project outreach and activities
  • Develop career information and available educational pathways that support the skill needs of the regional economy
  • Attend Industry Partnership and Chamber of Commerce meetings
  • Participate in economic development planning sessions for the purpose of developing strategies for workforce/talent development
  • Work collaboratively with a wide array of strategic partners to develop and implement solutions to the workforce challenges faced by the community that are impeding economic growth
  • Attend/participate in DCWDB meetings with partner agencies as it relates to Business Services and partner relationship-building, referrals, and resources
  • Serve as the direct contact for WIOA partners working with job seekers
  • Lead the Business Service Team in a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to employer events, job matching, building new employer connections, strengthening existing relationships, and understanding local talent and hiring needs.

Qualifications

                        

  • Customer service experience required
  • Experience with data collection
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Consistent follow-through when corresponding with employers
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
