Overall responsibility for building relationships with current, former and new clients while overseeing activities for the NWPA Job Connect Business Services Team.
• Analyze and understand Labor Market Information
• Enter/review/approve/reject pending business folders, contacts and job postings
• Review/approve/reject incomplete job postings
• Provide website technical assistance
• Continually review business opportunities
• Contact employers by phone or in person and attempt to schedule face-to-face meetings
• Perform initial and follow-up client visits as necessary
• Develop and execute a marketing/advertising plan
• Interface with other company departments and employees
• Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
• Develop a network for potential business leads
• Represent EDSI/NWPA Job Connect/CareerLink® at conferences, meetings and selected
social functions
• Attend Chamber events and other economic gatherings as necessary
• Follow up with EDSI/CareerLink® employees to ensure that client expectations are met
• Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
• Conduct Job Task Analysis and/or WorkKeys® Profiling as requested
• Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
• Identify and follow up on On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)
opportunities as required
• Develop and execute an OJT Plan that meets the employer’s needs and individual’s skill
sets
• Monitor progress of the OJT plan and employee participation
• Attend required meetings and apprise staff of discussions and outcomes
• Address human resource and staff concerns
• Ensure that staff and program resources are being utilized appropriately
• Provide positive vision for required changes during program operation
• Utilize positive communication techniques to resolve issues
• Communicate with staff to incorporate appropriate concepts/suggestions
• Bachelor's degree in business, education, training, human resources, liberal arts or related
area is preferred
• Marketing and sales experience preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Must be comfortable making presentations to large groups of people
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• A valid driver's license & clean driving record required
