To provide support and assistance to NWPA Job Connect youth program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement.
This position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle several responsibilities simultaneously.
• Provide individualized basic skills assessment and identify employment goals based on
career interest, ability and personal development considerations
• Develop Individual Employment Plan in conjunction with youth
• Assist youth in accomplishing the goals of the Individual Service Strategy
• Build one-on-one working relationships with participants to assist in mitigating
challenges to obtaining and retaining employment
• Facilitate educational activities in individual and group settings to remediate basic skills
and increase functional educational levels
• Coordinate onsite and offsite career awareness field trips with employers and
educational facilities
• Provide comprehensive case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes
and goals are met as required by contract
• Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies as needed
• Establish detailed documentation of all client records to maintain organized database
and generate all project reports as needed
• Provide regular updates to Youth Program Manager
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in business, education, training, human resources, or related area is
required
• Case management experience required
• Ability to work independently as well as to function effectively as a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent follow-through when corresponding with partners, staff and customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• A valid driver's license & clean driving record required
