Business Services Professional

Scope of Position:
Overall responsibility for building business relationships with current, former and new employers in the local business community.
Essential Functions:
· Create, generate and submit job orders
· Continually review business opportunities
· Contact employers by phone or in person and attempt to schedule face-to-face meetings
· Perform initial and follow-up employer contacts and visits as necessary
· Assist employers with job postings, candidate screening and hiring events
· Coordinate On-the-Job training (OJT) opportunities for participants and develop training plans
· Meet with participants to discuss and match them with suitable employment opportunities
· Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
· Develop a network for potential business leads
· Attend Chamber events and other economic gatherings as necessary
· Enter employer information into all appropriate databases and monitor employer activities
· Meet performance criteria on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
· Assist participants with job search, resume development and mock interviews
· Other opportunities as available
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, or equivalent experience
· Marketing and sales experience preferred
· Customer service experience required
· Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
· Must have notable experience in a team-oriented environment
· Must be able to interact and communicate with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
· Skills and experience in providing career development assistance is a plus
· Valid Driver’s License and an automobile are required
