As Career Advance Coordinator, you will oversee a team of Career Coaches, Account Managers, and Retention Specialists to ensure participants receive appropriate services focused on career exploration and/or advancement.

 

Pathways for Access to Careers and Employment (PACE) Workforce Development Program focuses on maximizing education, training, and career exploration for participants so they can develop well-rounded and adaptable skills that will position them for success across multiple industries and roles and connect them to employment that align with their interests and goals.

Responsibilities

Successful Elements:

  • Coordinate intake, assessment, and enrollment of clients into Career Advance services
  • Develop individualized career advancement plans in collaboration with Career Coaches and service providers including follow up and job readiness services
  • Track client progress toward employment, training completion, and credential attainment
  • Liaise with NADAP, community-based organizations, training providers, and employers to facilitate referrals and placements
  • Educate team about new programs and procedures in addition to being a liaison
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HRA reporting standards
  • Support clients in accessing wraparound services such as childcare, transportation, and transitional benefits
  • Organize workshops and events that promote career development and job readiness while creating solutions for attendance conflicts
  • Contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation, placement, etc.) and maintain organized database of required documentation

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

 

  • 2–3 years of experience in workforce development, case management, or program coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with NYC’s public assistance and employment services landscape
  • Proficiency in data tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Spanish or Russian Bilingual skills a plus

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
