Position : Digital Media Producer

Salary: $50,000 year

 

Scope of Position:

The Digital Media Producer is responsible for representing and promoting the PA CareerLink® brand by engaging the PA CareerLink® Philadelphia customer base, showcasing success stories, and highlighting employment and training opportunities at the local, regional, and statewide levels.

 

This role manages and maintains PA CareerLink® Philadelphia’s social media accounts, monitors performance analytics, and adjusts strategies based on user engagement trends and organizational goals. The Digital Media Producer also serves as the project manager for Hired!, PA CareerLink® Philadelphia’s monthly newsletter.

 

The position supports partners across Philadelphia’s public workforce system by enhancing the value of their outreach materials and ensuring alignment with PA CareerLink® Philadelphia’s brand standards when communicating with career seekers.

In addition, the Digital Media Producer is responsible for overseeing the design and development of various digital media campaigns, including web advertisements, videos, and other multimedia content. This role requires a high level of creativity, strong presentation skills, and an understanding of current digital media trends and tools. Effective problem-solving skills and adaptability are essential.

 

The role requires direct collaboration with the Philadelphia Works executive team and governing board, ensuring alignment between strategic goals and digital communication efforts.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Promote outreach/marketing material for any PA CareerLink® services and events, virtual and in-person, using a creative and innovative approach.
  • Carry out work independently and as part of a team.
  • Review and approve content to publish on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms and Google pages as approved.
    • Includes monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and likes in Hootsuite.
  • Manage and schedule the publication of system success story materials, which includes scheduling and meeting with participants, capturing video/photo/narrative content on each story, producing professional quality videos and publishing stories on appropriate platforms.
  • Create relevant, up-to-date digital signage at all PA CareerLink centers
  • Edit flyers, digital videos, and photos as requested by all centers to ensure all material meets PA CareerLink® branding standards.
  • Prepare and design presentations and demonstrate ability to present to high-level Philadelphia Works Board Executives and partners.
  • Develop successful relationships with larger PA CareerLink® Philadelphia staff and communication champions to gather content for social media, review promotional content, and video projects.
  • Meet and interface with the Philadelphia Works Communications Team for alignment of system priorities.
  • Utilize prepared creative content to communicate new training and employment opportunities and/or workforce development initiatives/campaigns to career seekers or businesses.
  • Support during weekend, evening, and alternative hours are sometimes mandatory to address the needs of (photography and videography) the system, including but not limited to:
    • Job fairs and hiring events.
    • Media engagement and public relations (PR)
    • Workforce campaigns/initiatives (national, state, local)
    • High visibility/coordinated recruitment.
    • Communication and brand awareness training and onboarding
  • Implement project management skills, tools, and methods to drive system initiatives and positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate a fluid approach to work and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize multiple requests and work on various projects simultaneously

Qualifications

Experience & Skills Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in digital marketing, public relations, communications, or related areas.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments, teams, and partners.
  • Working knowledge of Canva, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Scanova, Adobe Premier Pro, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Advanced social media skills, including SEO, content editorial management, and analytics.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office
  • Intermediate level in digital video and photo editing software
  • Strong attention to detail regarding the adherence to PA CareerLink® branding
  • Experience with print marketing
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in digital media, and the ability to provide strategic guidance on how to leverage new tools and platforms to reach the target audience.
  • Position requires 75% travel in Philadelphia and some surrounding counties.
